Thomas Segar, PhD.
Dr. Tom Segar is a senior student affairs officer and an educational consultant who speaks and trains on topics of student and personal leadership, diversity, and social justice.
Dr. Segar has been an independent consultant to colleges, public school systems, and other educational organizations for over 13 years. He speaks, writes, and researches on leadership, diversity, and social justice topics, and has delivered over 170 keynote addresses, invited talks, and presentations at over 50 institutions and organizations throughout the United States. He has presented over thirty-refereed national and regional conference presentations.
Dr. Segar earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Certificate in African American Studies from the University of Maryland, and his Master of Science degree in Counseling with a Specialization in College Student Personnel from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the College Student Personnel Administration Program at the University of Maryland.
