ACPA Foundation Support for NextGen
NextGen is a unique opportunity for undergraduate and master’s level students to learn about careers in student affairs and higher education. The conference is a unique opportunity for the next generation of Student Affairs and Higher Education educators to meet and learn from current graduate preparation program faculty, Next Gen alumni, and seasoned professionals who work across the country at diverse institutional types in a variety of positions.
The conference is so important to our profession that the Foundation has committed to providing support to participants who demonstrate need, assisting with scholarships for registration, as well as sponsorships for travel and expenses. This funding is both directly from the Foundation, in the form of scholarships, as well as through direct fundraising by Trustees, to provide sponsorships.
The Starting Point of My Career!
“NextGen was a pivotal point in my choosing to pursue a career in student affairs. Prior to attending, I had toyed with the idea of student affairs, but it wasn’t until I was at NextGen interacting with other participants that I really started to see myself in this profession. NextGen was one of my first opportunities to see what working in the profession would look like, as well as a great place to explore and discover different graduate programs. NextGen truly was the starting point of my student affairs career and I am eager to see where it takes me next!”
