MAKING A BEQUEST THROUGH A WILL:
Since Wills and Trusts are legal documents, you should seek an attorney’s help to assist with this process. Each individual’s situation is unique. The examples below are only suggestions for language frequently used in Wills to designate charitable bequests. The ACPA Foundation is not a source of legal advice.
Suggestions for Leaving a Specific or Proportionate Bequest:
I, (name), of (city, state, ZIP), give, devise and bequeath to the ACPA Foundation a not-for-profit organization whose Federal Tax Identification Number is 52-1892948, (written $ amount or percentage) of my estate, or property described herein (or the remainder of my estate) as an unrestricted gift to be used at the discretion of the ACPA Foundation Board of Trustees as they deem in the best interest of the Foundation.

- Complete the Confidential ACPA Foundation Giving Form. If appropriate, include a copy of the relevant portion of your will or trust document
- Send to Dr. Sue Saunders, Coordinator of ACPA Foundation Planned Giving, 116 Holman Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
- NOTE THAT ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS WILL BE RETAINED BY THE ACPA INTERNATIONAL OFFICE.
